A sad reflection of the times we live in, on many fronts.

This situation is mind blowing. I guess the lack of oil in Myanmar means we can't go over there to help:

I also heard that state media failed to report on the cyclone, when it was being reported in the Indian press for at least two days.

    You are an idiot.

If we are going to make ourselves the world policeman when it comes to the Middle East, then we better follow through elsewhere.

And if this storm really did do major damage to the rice farms, then we will all be feeling a food crunch soon.

Oh, and as far as 9/11 is concerned, did you really expect help from Myanmar? Didn't the rest of the world help with the formation of the Coalition of the Willing or whatever the hell it was called?

Uh, Nigeria has quite an oil supply. Its currently under attack by terroists/rebels/militants, whatever they're called over there. They kidnap oil rig workers and hold them for ransom. Its one of the many reasons why oil prices continue to climb.

Actually, they didn't. But whatever. Eat the poor.

Just once I want to see us take care of our own before we look to save the world from itself...

The domestic coverage of this has been a disaster. Are they even covering it?
