    Wife loved the book and can't wait to see the movie.

    She'll be going without me, though. No chance I'm seeing this.

    Interesting to see Diaz moving on into parent roles in movies -- definitely a departure, and not entirely sure she'll pull it off.

    Agreed. I was so looking forward to The Holiday and she was a load of suck.

    Diaz has been too busy cashing her checks from the Shrek franchise to bother appearing in any movies lately.

    She should stick with voiceovers.

    Great book. The parents' part in the books isn't huge, if I remember correctly. And wasn't the mother a whackjob? That is sort of Diaz's alley.

    The mother definitely did not come off well in the book. She at times certainly seemed to see the younger child as existing merely to keep the elder one healthy.
