My Search for a Hockey Buddy

    Hey all --
    I'm working on a piece called "My Search for a Hockey Buddy." I'm a 20-something female freelance writer in LA...not only have I had a hard time finding a decent man in this city, I've had a REALLY hard time finding a decent man who loves hockey as much as I do....and, really, I'm not even looking for a romantic situation...more of a hockey pal to watch endless hockey games with... I'm searching in many different ways...I started my research the other day with a post on craigslist in the "strictly platonic" section just to see what kind of humorous replies I got...to use in the story.
    Do any of you have any ideas on where I could run this kind of story? I haven't written sports since college so I don't really know the market right now.
    Any input is welcome....
