My Little Buddy is moving away Update: He's gone.

I'm sorry to hear about this Harley. I know it does no good to hear this from someone you don't know, but hang in there.

 

I have two sons and reading this thread just puts a gigantic lump in my throat.

 

I drove them to the airport Monday morning.

I was OK on the drive (1 hour) back home until about two miles from home I passed a Walmart truck.

Being autistic, he catches on to TV commercials, and absolutely loves Walmart. Every time he sees a truck, he yells out, "Walmart truck!" As if it's Santa Claus.

When I pulled into my driveway and his bike wasn't parked next to mine, I lost it.

I sat in front of TV in a daze, thinking he would come bounding into my apartment, but he never did.

 

Harley - Man, that sucks. Hang in there.

Even though you hate Oregon, try to visit as often as your work schedule and bank account allow. Put the ex-wife/father-in-law issues aside for his sake.

He sounds like a really neat kid.
