My Larry David Subway Moment

I consider myself a hot dog aficianado, not quite a connoisseur.
I'm not opposed to condiments on a hot dog, just not ketchup. It's wrong.
Remember, 'The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who put ketchup on hot dogs.'

Ketchup does not go on hot dogs or french toast.

 

Ok...I went by Which Wich yesterday. I'm converted. They have ten base sandwiches that you customize out the wazzoo. Every sandwich is the same flat price. Extra meat/cheese and some of the fillings cost extra. They have nine or ten slots on the wall with paper bags - one for each base sandwich. I chose Beef. You're choices are roast beef, corned beef, pastrami, beef cheesesteak, or a reuben. When I have more time later I'll post a detailed breakdown of the menu.

It takes a little longer to get your sandwich than from the flunkies at Subway. This may have been due to mine being toasted [I went with the reuben]. The chips made on-site are thick and crunchy. But the one thing that was most shocking: They have Mello Yello on fountain!

 

Eh, I can live with it. I hate mustard more than life, so the alternative would be never eating another hot dog.

 

I'm not sure which is more disturbing: that you hate mustard or that you hate life.

 

Which Wich's oatmeal raisin cookies are absolutely fantastic. As is the BLT.

 

I hate mustard. I put ketchup on hot dogs. Anyone who doesn't like it can shove a hot dog .......

MMMmmmmmmmmmmmm hot dogs with ketchup. I usually do ketchup AND mustard, but if given a choice of only one, ketchup wins.

 

Have green peppers been mentioned on this thread? Who would put green peppers on a sandwich?
