My computer thinks today is Dec. 16, 2007

    The bigger concern is why I have no restore points.

    As for the date, here is just one way the mishap has affected me: I have hundreds of reminders on my Outlook calendar, and suddenly yesterday about 75 of them popped up on my screen with such notations as: Thirteen weeks overdue ... twelve weeks overdue ... eleven weeks overdue ... well, you get the idea.

    I'm still discovering other problems.

    I've tried to reset the clock as per slappy's suggestion, but so far, nothing.

    Aha. Now I understand. I still don't understand the "restore points" (maybe it's a PC thing; I own Macs,) but I see why this would be a problem.
