My Colon

    The books always balance, I guess.

    I learned this evening that a beloved aunt of mine has been given just weeks -- maybe a few months -- to live after a diagnosis of carcinoma. Not to get into DocTalk's territory, but that's a malignant form of cancer that starts from the skin and spreads inward.

    She's one of those people who's always been fashionably tan ... which, of course, may not mean a thing.

    Something else that some (many?) of us need to have checked, I reckon.

    My wife followed me yesterday in having the colonoscopy done.

    She was dreading it primarily because she hated having IVs inserted.

    But, it all went well and she was so relieved and happy to get that off the to-do list.
