OK, I haven't updated this queue in probably a year. I just sent back Lost in Translation (also just saw Brokeback Mountain), so I'm obviously behind in movie viewership.

What are the must-sees I need to get on this list?

I don't like subtitles or most foreign movies.

    Help!

I added Little Children and Notes on a Scandal.

Though I must tell you, seeing two movies with "children" and another with "scandal" has me a little afraid of you. :)

Little Children is great. Of course, I'm a sucka for Winslet.

Did you like LIT and Brokeback?

I would second Last King of Scotland, and add... well, a lot of things but they're mostly documentaries, and I don't know if you're into that.

    I'll also throw out

    Smokin' Aces
    AlphaDog

They're not great, kinda got killed by the critics, but I enjoyed both. Good popcorn-movie stuff. Aces has Piven (big fan) and Ryan Reynolds (don't know how you feel about him, but I've liked him since his Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place show). Ben Foster's good in AlphaDog and Timberlake surprised me as well.

A third movie - The Science of Sleep. Kinda quirky. If you saw and like "Eternal Sunshine ...", you might like this. It's directed by the same guy, Michel Gondry.

I also recommend "Children of Men" and "The Last King of Scotland."

I didn't see them until last summer, but I enjoyed both Pirate movies.

I already have "The departed" on my queue. i'll add Smokin' Aces (also love Piven) and AlphaDog.

    And UT, I LOVE documentaries.

I liked LIT much more than I liked Brokeback. Brokeback looked pretty, but it bored me. I didn't care about any of those people.

LIT I really liked, but it snuck up on me how much. I expected to be disappointed...but enjoyed it.

You might like Broken Flowers, with Bill Murray.

As for documentaries, check out Spellbound (the spelling bee one, not the Ingrid Bergman movie.). Oh, and Riding Giants, the doc with my dream man, Laird Hamilton.
