    But Alex won. That's what it's all about, baby! :)

    (I feel compelled to officially point out that I am joking, because others would make the same argument in all seriousness.)

    I will admit that I was not a big believer in Newton, and although it is only one week, I never thought he'd have a game like that his whole career. I figured he'd throw for a lot of yards sometimes, but not by completing two-thirds of his passes.

    Newton has to eventually win, and I am guessing he will, but I really think you have a stud QB, Sam.

    He is a stronger, slower version of Vick or a faster version of Roethlisberger or McNair. Either way, the kid has the tools to go a long way in this league.

    What I really like about him is he will not have to be fast to be great. That size and arm will be with him for a long time.

    I'm guessing he'll have to wait at least until Week 3 for his first win.
