    Another twist.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/18/mystery-bag-bin-rebekah-brooks

"Detectives are examining a computer, paperwork and a phone found in a bin near the riverside London home of Rebekah Brooks, the former chief executive of News International."

"And they might have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling hooligans who knocked over a dustbin in Shaftesbury."

If any of the stuff from the trash bin turns out to be "smoking guns," Rebekkah leaps into the midseason lead for the much-coveted "Fucking Idiot Of The Year Award."

Not that I have a lot of experience in the matter, but common sense would seem to advise: if you are going to destroy evidence, DESTROY IT.

Computer? Run over it with your car 10 times, then take it to a commercial incinerator and WATCH IT go into the oven. Same goes for the phone and the paperwork.

Of course all this stuff is probably saved on dozens of servers somewhere else so destroying the evidence will ultimately prove a waste of time anyway, but if she thought just tossing the junk in a dumpster was going to do the job, well.... fucking idiot.

Sheesh, you'd think the Murdoch Empire would have fixit men well-trained in this kind of stuff. Hell, Uncle Rupert could charter a plane and drop the shit in the Atlantic 2,000 miles from the nearest shore.

Maybe "testifying" wasn't the right word.

    He's answering questions.

No idea. I tend to watch one channel at a time.

    In the morning, it's MSNBC.

I flipped around - it's on CNN, MSNBC and Fox.
