Headline News talked to an unnamed spouse of an unnamed soldier and asked her is she could confirm the number dead and injured. She says it says on TV that it's seven dead. Great. I'm glad the TV news anchor is asking for confirmation from a civilian spouse who happens to be at Hood. Are they kidding right now?

Thursday is also field day at Fort Hood, where instead of PT, soldiers draw weapons for field exercises. Just something I though was interesting.

Not seeing the connection to killing American soldiers, but safe to say whoever did this wasn't thinking very clearly.

I don't either. But that's what FB was referencing. "V for Vendetta" was a movie inspired by that plot.

Yeah, I think that's extraordinarily unlikely. (The Guy Fawkes thing. And the thinking clearly, for that matter.)

On a purely journalistic note, it's interesting to watch reporters and people on the base get connected. I saw some back and forth between a Sky News reporter in Britain and a Fort Hood resident who tweeted what she was seeing.

Dear Wolf Blitzer, you don't have to steal military uniforms if you want to impersonate a member of the military. There are Army/Navy surplus stores in just about every city in America. Or you can order them from dozens of Web sites, complete with unit patches.
