I got unfriended by a former co-worker for constantly mocking the many MLM schemes he bounced between. The last one was "an app store! Everyone uses their phone? Who doesn't want apps? Easiest thing to sell!"

"Wait. Most of my friends have iPhones. You can't install a new app store there ..."

    " .... but it's an app store! ..."

"Yeah but most of my friends have iPhones."

    " .... did I mention it's an app store?"

I just had to Google Cutco to figure out what it is (for a moment, I thought it was a hair care MLM) so there’s at least one.

Emailed my friend. He responded that he didn't even know about a class-action suit. He ended up with about 10 water filtration systems. He gave them away. He said he probably lost a couple of hundred dollars.

Are you referring to the one about the guy shorting the stock?

Betting On Zero is the title.

  8. My parents sold Amway in the '70s. I still own and use every day a set of very good Amway pots and pans that my mother got and saved for me before I even went to college. My sister still has hers and uses it, as does my dad.
