Time to invest in mortuary supply stock and casket companies.

    What? Too soon?

Given that most would be poor or elderly (most likely both) do you really think the GOP gives a shit?

Seeing that the elderly are generally the most reliable GOP voters, they should be.

But they’ll just claim the virus is some evil Dummycrat Deep State conspiracy designed to kill of their most loyal constituency.

It would decrease the surplus population and get them off of Social Security, right GOP?

This assumes that every single person in the country gets the virus, though.

Actually, the 1918-19 pandemic was so devastating because it targeted 20-40 year-olds, unlike the typical flu, which mainly culls the herd (elderly and weak).

COVID-19 seems to be indiscriminate, so don't get too excited about getting rid of us Boomers just yet. We may be the cockroaches of humankind!

It seems indiscriminate about who it infects, but the fatalities trend toward the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. Since we're both over sixty and my wife has an IgA deficiency that makes her very susceptible to infection through the mucous membranes, I'm watching it pretty closely.

Fake news. Republicans and Foxnews experts say it’s the common cold and a world wide conspiracy to discredit trump. Trump says it’s not a problem. A vote for trump is a vote against dying.

Same here. Gwen's bout with sepsis three years ago has left her with spiked IgE numbers that so far are unexplained and asthma-related side effects. We got more inhalers and supplies than the neighborhood pharmacy.
