So the wife has felt bad yesterday and today. Tonight she's coughing and has a fever. Oh, boy.

By the numbers. Hand sanitizer, disinfectant, acetaminophen, isolation. We'll see how it goes from here.

Calm down. It's very early days. Fever was just 99.0, minimal. She's had a bit of a sinus headache the last few days. This could easily be a garden variety upper respiratory infection.

That said, I have to treat it as contagious Covid until I know different. She's at a highly infectious point of any infection. It's the couch for me tonight, yanno?

This boils down to treat it with great respect and take all of the precautions you know you're already supposed to be using up about three notches.

I appreciate the good wishes and accept all prayers. I'm hoping that it isn't Covid, and if it is that it's mild. Shrug. That's about all I can do.

Yeah, I'm ok. I had the mental shrieks as I sat down and wrote the first post, but I'm calm. I know the deal from this point. Take care of me so I can take care of her, take care of her, and if it's real try not to catch it. So it goes.

Monitor it without somehow flipping out. If symptoms neither worsen nor persist, all good. Been there ... was concerning when an RN who doesn't like acknowledging any issues within family did so. But they went away.

You're doing what you can. Just make sure she gets what she can - rest, hydration, nutrition and perhaps a little aspirin to combat mild fever.

Hang in there ... keep us up to date. And try to stay calm.

    No sweat, I got this.

Maybe I should phrase that a bit differently. Hmmm.
