Who would have thought some innocent drunken 4-wheeling at 4 a.m. could lead to tragedy?

Wonder if they'll change the second season's intro to strike the phase: "We live in the land of the free, which means the freedom to do whatever the F... we want."
Sometimes doing whatever the F you want has its consequences.

I also guess it never occurred to the people they told their plans to to suggest that 4-wheeling at 3 a.m. wasn't the best thing to do.

They just updated the site. Looks like he died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The very lead from the Yahoo story. Someone should send Kathleen Perricone an invite to join SportsJournalists.com

I have seen just enough of this idiotic idea for a TV program to know it was a waste of time....But in the eyes of the prodcers, not money, as explained by this article:

    http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/buckwild-production-companies-paying-shain-gandee-funeral-140430505.html

Would these people know what in the hell to do with three grand?? And does anybody really give a damn to see how these people live their lives...? I don't.

    OK....Mini-Rant over. Have at.

It seems like one of the few reality "stars" to have any idea what she's doing, in terms of making this gravy train worthwhile in the long term, is the Human Thumb mother of Honey Boo Boo, who is putting all the reality money into trust funds for her kids and grandkids, which they can't touch until age 21 unless it's for education or the direst of emergencies.

Not like they're getting insanely wealthy, with being paid a collective $15,000-$20,000 per episode, but it's a nice bump for someone who's not used to handling a lot of money.

It's still more than some people make in a year.

Reading the Yahoo article has me wondering why the guy didn't just cut the engine. Or would it have mattered?

They probably kept the engine running to keep the heater running.
