Ah, yes, the old "MTV is making my teenager have sex" line. How 1983.

    I'm sure you know better.

  3. MTV needs to just show the movie Kids uncensored and be done with it. Enough of this pussy shit.

Not to sound like Old Man Mac Daddy, but a lot of teenagers nowadays seriously look at things like this — who cares about dignity, doing the right thing, etc., as long as it gets them on TV. We have a whole generation that has no shame, especially if doing things they should be ashamed of gets them attention.

No shame, more sex. I've heard kids these days also like music that's just noise and stand on lawns frequently.

Which is why we have something called Snooki on the NYT Bestsellers list, albeit not with a book she herself wrote, probably because she's not actually capable of written expression.

Still, if I'd only known I could have had a bestseller if I were an orange-skinned slut with the intellectual depth of a puddle of piss.

That kind of behavior makes me want to shake my fist.

Oh, I wouldn't go that far. But the British version airs after the 9 p.m. watershed, when you can get away with a lot more than you can on U.S. TV. Before 9 p.m., not so much. They edit sex references out of Friends, FFS.

That's notable, I suppose, but it is really only meaningful if we could compare the number who are taking that action to the number of pregnancies prevented by the show. The calculation, of course, is impossible to perform in practice. Although I bet some economist could pinpoint it with some vague precision. But the fact that some teens are getting the wrong message means very little in isolation.

We watched "Kids" for a college class. Holy shit ... they don't make water hot enough to wash off the sense of uncleanliness that movie leaves you with.
