MSNBC Suspends Ed Schultz Over "Slut" Remark

Is it really correct to someone a "slut" if they are paid?

 

I get it. It's funny because she doesn't agree with you politically.

 

No, it's not really all that funny and I'm not all that sure who she is.

 

He has a lake house in northwestern Minnesota where I worked at a twice-weekly. I'm sure he'll have some fun there during his vacation.

 

He probably did mean to say "whore" and simply misspoke.

 

The definitions aren't that far apart. Slut can refer to a woman:


chiefly British : a slovenly woman

a : a promiscuous woman; especially : prostitute
b : a saucy girl : minx

 

Actually, I find it kind of funny because Laura Ingraham is the one who called Meghan McCain fat because Meghan had suggested that too many fellow conservatives were too mean-spirited.

If you were to ask me who had called another political commentator a slut, Ingraham would have been my first or second guess.

 

Anyone see this montage of Ingraham when she hosted (briefly) a show on Fox News? It puts Berman to shame.

 

I'm not saying Ingraham is always well behaved, but comparing what is said off-camera is pretty unfair to being called a slut on the air.

 

Maybe it would have gone over better had he called her a saucy minx.
