Is Oden "ready" for the NBA?

Take a look at these starting centers from Wednesday night's action.

    NJ -Jason Collins
    Toronto - Rasho Nesterovic
    Washington - Etan Thomas
    Boston - Kendrick Perkins
    Seattle - Nick Collison
    Golden State - Al Harrington
    Sacramento - Brad Miller
    Portland - Jamaal Magloire
    Lakers - Andrew Bynum

I think Mr. Oden will do quite nicely learning on the job against the likes of these guys. We aren't exactly talking Russell, Chamberlain and Thurmond here.

For those advocating more college -- in the NBA, Oden will have more practice time by January 1st than he would have in an entire college season -- and against better players who will test him/improve him.
