Only ones on the original list I haven't seen are The Sound of Music and, inexplicably, Slap Shot (though I've seen bits and pieces).

    Big movies I've never seen:
    Lawrence of Arabia
All the President's Men (like, WTF?)

I've seen 61 of AFI's top 100, but the vast majority of the ones I missed were made before 1960.

When the AFI 100 came out in the 90s watched all the ones I hadn't seen - there were more than a few that were overrated and/or won Oscars. Same can be said movies since then too.

    • Any James Bond movie
    • Any Jaws movie
    • Any Harry Potter movie
    • Any LOTR movie
    • Any Marvel superhero movie except the Raimi Spider-Man movies and the Gruffudd/Alba Fantastic Four movies
    • Caddyshack
    • Any Pulp Fiction movie
    • Pretty much any horror movie

I had never seen any of The Godfather movies until 1998-99, now I'm pretty much an authority.

If you're only going to watch five Marvel superhero movies in your life, Spider-Man 3 and the Gruffudd/Alba Fantastic Four should not be among them.

    Seen a couple Bonds.
    No Jaws
    No Potter
    No Rings
    No Marvel
Can recite Caddyshack pretty much verbatum
    No Pulp
Last "horror" movie I saw was one of the Saws several years ago.

Titanic is worth watching once the same way The Notebook is worth watching the first time.

The difference is that you can watch The Notebook many times.

I think every seventh sentence out of my mouth over the past 25 years has been a Caddyshack line.

So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Never seen Titanic. Never had any desire to.
The boat sinks. There. I saved myself 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Indiana Jones does a bunch of crazy shit and the Ark of the Covenant ends up exactly where it would have been, anyway.

There. You don't have to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Indiana Jones does a bunch of crazy shit, including having sex with the Nazi woman who had been having sex with his father, and then the Holy Grail ends up buried right where it had been for centuries.

There. You don't have to watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Luke Skywalker confronts his daddy issues and the Rebels blow up the Death Star...again.

There. You don't have to watch Return of the Jedi.
