Movies you're looking forward to

I can't remember if this was done, so my apologies if it has, but what new movies are you most looking forward to this year?

I think I'm leaving a couple out, but off the top of my head and in no particular order:
    The Simpsons Movie
    Grindhouse
    Ocean's Thirteen
    The third Pirates
    Zodiac
    Smokin' Aces
Transformers, even if it is a Michael Bay movie

    An early jump on 2008:
    The Dark Knight
    Sin City 2
The Rum Diary (Probably just wishful thinking. Damn your musicals, Johnny Depp, make this one)

I realize that's not a very intelligent list of movies, but I tend to get on board with those kind late and end up waiting for the DVD. That's why I want to hear from the peanut gallery.

Sequels and comic book movies. There can't be enough of those.

A movie that isn't a remake. Original ideas. Studios willing to go out on a limb with a film that isn't rushed to the theatre just because it's a fad.

Movies with good writing, not just special effects or lame sex jokes.

If any of those get made again, I'll be waiting.

    Can a well-written movie also be well-designed?

    Name a recent, well-written movie.

    'The Night Listener'
'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'
    'The Constant Gardener'
    'House of Sand and Fog'
    'Adaptation'

Those jump to mind from the past six years.

I'm not looking forward to the remake of The Hitcher. The original was no Schindler's List, but besides the gore, it had a very intriguing relationship between Rutger Hauer and C. Thomas Howell. Now, it'll be a bunch of computer-generated gore and sub-Ed Wood acting, I suspect.
