Also had some of Hollywood's best brother actor casting jobs with Peter Akroyd and Susan Anspauch. Funny movie in an incredibly campy sort of way.

 

Several musicals I will not name for fear of having to submit my Man Card to be revoked and burned.

 

Bloodsport. You've got Forrest Whitacker in his best role. The "waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh" from JCVD that last 10 minutes after a strike. Jackson, the typical, fat, cocky American. The monkey dude fighting. The scene where JCVD punches the sumo dude in the balls.

And of course, Chong Li. That dude's pecs get in the room, and Chong Li arrives five minutes after them. He broke one dude's leg, and killed another. In the battle of 80's karate movie villians, I think he quite literally would've ripped out Zabka's heart.

 

I'm not the least bit embarrassed to admit I like that movie.

 

Sadly, I think we're taking our Kumite coverage off the wire this year.

 

Damn. And I was about to prepare the ring for the final match.

 

Susan Anspach was the blonde TV news reporter who called her Asian cameraman "inscrutable idiot," and he called her "white goddess." Not the most PC of films.
