    A few reaches:

Victor French wore an Oakland A's hat on "Highway to Heaven".

Flash Gordon was quarterback of the New York Jets.

    I will submit:

New York Giants -- "The Big Leaguer" (Carl Hubbell makes an appearance; Hans Lobert's name does, but his face sure looks like Edward G. Robinson's!)

"The Winning Team" is a way better selection than "The Pride of St. Louis" for the Redbirds, IMO.
"Cobb" for the Tigers, of course.
Fuck Jimmy Fallon -- go with "Fear Strikes Out" for the Red Sox.

Don't forget to update this thread with the A's selection next year: "Moneyball," featuring Brad Pitt.

    Holy crap, I almost forgot!

    Cincinnati Reds -- "Hu$tle" :D

I'd give it to "Pride of the Yankees" myself.

    NBA
Fictional team, but Lil Bow Wow made the NBA for the Knights in "Like Mike," and several NBA players/teams appeared in "Space Jam" to help Jordan take on a bunch of cartoon's and save the world.

    MLB
Minnesota Twins - Little Big League
    NY Yankees - The Scout
California Angels - Talent for the Game

    NFL
    NY Giants - Big Fan

What about "It happens every spring". Actually a pretty good movie.

Is that the scientist who invents the repellent that makes the ball avoid wood? If so, I thank you, because I have been going nuts trying to think of the title. It is a good one.

There was a made-for-TV movie from around 1986 whose title I cannot remember that had a kid with a magic shoe become the kicker for the Chicago Bears.

This movie had a memorable guest appearance by Kevin Butler.

Nice. That is, without question, the greatest tome ever filmed about basketball.
