Movie buffs, check out TCM in early August...

  1. It appears early in August, Turner Classic Movies is running 24 hour marathons of a major star's films every day. My TiVo & DVD burner are going to get workouts...

August 1 - All Elizabeth Taylor flicks
August 2 - All Peter O'Toole (I'm especially psyched they are showing Becket)
August 3 - All Joan Crawford
August 4 - All William Holden (including Stalag 17 back-to-back with Bridge on the River Kwai)
August 5 - Jimmy Stewart (includes Mr. Smith, Shop Around the Corner, Harvey, Liberty Valance, Anatomy of a Murder)
August 6 - Robert Mitchum (although not Night of the Hunter or Cape Fear)
    August 7 - Jane Russell
August 9 - Myrna Loy (including all 6 Thin Man films in a row)
    August 10 - Vincent Price

I"ve got to set my Tivo for August 5. Jimmy Stewart was a great actor. Don't think I've ever seen one of his movies, I didn't like.
