Mouse problem

    Daughter just called, distraught.
There's a mouse in the basement apartment of the house she shares with two roommates. She's scared.
I told her to come back to the house (we live about 10 minutes away) stay here and call the landlord in the morning to dispose of the problem. She doesn't want to do that. But she doesn't want to go to sleep for fear the critter will be dashing across her mattress.
Anybody know a short term solution that will get her through the night and assure her a good night's sleep.
    Many thanks, if so...

Glue traps. Humane (kinda) and will work. Buy several, and she can surround her bed with them to get through the night.

Can't be Chef's foot... the nail color is right but there are too many toes.
