Comedy gold from the Under Armour All-American game:

Cliff notes version for those too lazy to watch the video:

Dutchtown (La.) safety Landon Collins, rated the No. 7 overall player in the country, commits to Alabama live on ESPN. Mom looks pissed, tells ESPN reporter, "I feel as if LSU is the better place for him," she said. "LSU Tigers are No. 1. Go Tigers."

    What an effin' bitch.

All she said is LSU is No. 1, and she's a bad mom?

Oh please. She's a bad mom because she's publicly expressing contempt for the biggest decision of her son's life.

    And?
The kid admitted he strung the decision out for two years. She didn't agree.

Yeah, that's kind of a dick move.

Anyone who advises anyone else to avoid Nick Saban is doing God's work.

Slappy, I think you're just (semi)publicly expressing contempt for Nick Saban.

Unless your son is a defensive back who wants to play in the NFL.

As much as you're (semi)publicly sticking up for him.
Chris Spielman wanted to go to Michigan, his dad told him no way. Did that make him a bad parent?
She felt another school was a better choice for her son. How is that a "Mother of the Year candidate. Because she didn't fall lockstep behind her son?

Because LSU is awful at this?

When brent Calloway committed to Auburn, his stepdad expressed contempt. Was that a dick move too?
Oh, it didn't happen on national TV. If you're going to pander to the dog-and-pony show of these bullshit games, then don't act hurt when your parent expresses honest emotion.

I don't have a problem with her disagreeing with her son or even "forbidding" him to go to Alabama, but if she felt that strongly she should have declined to appear on TV. She ruined the biggest moment of his life on national television.

Of course not. And I'm sure LTL meant it in jest, but however the media and opposing fans feel about Saban, it's obvious big-time high school recruits don't share that opinion.
