    The system works.

Well, we did far more than France, which somehow wound up with a permanent seat on the UN Security Council anyway.

As usual, I know more than the experts.

Coming from the guy who says more than half the BBWAA electorate was wrong for 15 years, that's rich.

I love reading your stuff, because it's hilarious to read someone so wrong about everything.

How's it feel reading Gregg Doyel's columns at sportsline? Tool.

The delays in voting for admission astound me sometimes.

I fail to see how a player can be rejected time and time again, then somehow be HOF-caliber.

It's sort of like the bar exam for lawyers. You might not pass the first, second, third of 10th time. But there might come a moment when it all lines up just right for you, and you pass the test.

At least, that's how I look at it.

The player's already answered all the questions and turned in the test, though.

I realize stats change, the game evolves, blahblahblah, but I also think there are some definite flaws in the voting process.

The voting group changes over the years. It could change radically over the 15 years a player is eligible for the Hall.

Seems like the qualifications shouldn't change radically, though.

If people are watching a player, they either know his skills or they don't.

But different individuals have different criteria.

Yeah, and most of those individuals are stupid because they didn't vote for my boyhood idol Maz. [/twobit]
