Let's hear them from the gallery.
    Exhibit 1A is Kathy Griffin.
She doesn't tell jokes; she name drops and trashes people.
    That's her whole act.
    And she keeps getting gigs.

I got 99 names and Dane Cook is every one of them.

Fran Lebowitz. She's more of a social pundit, but part of her act is aimed at humor. And it got old a very long time ago.

And I guess Jay Leno might be funny during stand-up gigs, but his TV monologues are horrible.

Bob Saget's TV stuff is horrendous. His stand up is actually quite good.

    This.

I think Griffin is very funny as well, she's definitely not for everyone... I kind of feel the same way about the Blue Collar comics. I've seen Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy (both at festivals) and both just killed. I have friends whose opinions I respect who were quite stunned at how much they enjoyed Carrot Top's show.

I used to go to a ton of comedy shows and usually the only times I was disappointed by the headliner was when it was someone was famous for doing something other than stand-up comedy who was trying to use their "fame" to sell stand-up tickets. I made the mistake of seeing a comedy show with some of the guys who work on Howard Stern's show and it was the most unfunny trainwreck I've ever seen.

First name that came to mind was Dane Cook.

But since he's already been mentioned, I'll say Robin Williams. He's been telling versions of the same jokes for 25 years.

Who's the guy Fox has on the Sunday morning football show now?

Rob Riggle... More of an actor than a comic, but I think he has done stand-up.
