Without even looking at this thread, there has to be a comment debating auto racing as a sport. Has to.

I think that Fuhr was a more dominant goalie... The second best goalie on the planet was sitting on the Edmonton bench when Fuhr played and there was a huge dropoff after Moog.

The closest to measuring up to this is Pujols.

But in my lifetime, I have never seen anyone be such a dominating force like Gretzky was. Sorry, Michael.

Ronaldinho does not play in the best league in the world. I'd rank the Prem and Serie A above La Liga. His form has also slipped since the World Cup. There really is no one out there in the soccer world right now, who I'd put on a level of being able to dominate play. There simply aren't any Peles, Maradonas or Cruyffs running around at the moment.

    Mr Us,

Other years perhaps. I don't know if Serie A is that strong this year.

    YHS, etc

  6. Of that list, and reckoning that there really isn't one dominant athlete in the team sports these days, I'd pick Crosby, Nash, and James, 1-2-3.
(Can't we please find an athlete named Stills to go with Sid, Steve, and Dmitiri Young?)
