Morris pay cuts

The entire Morris Company - all papers, people and executives - will be taking a pay cut asap.

Under $25k: 5 percent
$25k-$50k: 7.5 percent
Over $50k: 10 percent

Got the news from a friend who works for a Morris paper. I'll update with info as I get it.

so the bulk are gettin 7.5? jesus. when scripps cut 2.5 and 5, I thought that was bad. so if you'r esomehow living off 25k a year, now you've got to do with more than $150 less each month. that's a hell of a lot of bills.

 

I'm stunned it took Morris this long to make a pay cut.

that's horseshit. when i was making under 25k, i barely scraped by.
I get it. You're cutting salary. But cutting salary for people just above the poverty line is complete horseshit!

You seem to think the bulk of Morris employees make more than 25k a year.
