UT-Chattanooga athlete suspended for poor use of social media.

WORLD Wide Web, kids. You put something out there, a kid in India with a modem can know how reckless you are with your thoughts.

On Nov. 20 he wrote, “I hate this man with a passion, each and every day I have to see him I become more and more miserable.”

People can't really be that dumb, can they?

    Yes. Yes, they can.

    It frightens me daily.

From a journalistic perspective, Tennessee at Chattanooga's policy troubles me much more. I certainly understand why the school has implemented it, but its counter to openness.

Why not stop letting players be interviewed, too? They might say something that gets them in trouble.

Maybe the player overreacted in his tweets, but maybe he didn't. Why, as outsiders, are you crucifying him without know whether his tweets were fair? Maybe this coach really deserves such disdain.

    Good work by Uch. :)

By "Kentucky radio blog" I'm assuming they mean Matt Jones. But I won't give him the click it would take to verify that.

Saying you "hate your coach with a passion" on twitter, or in a press conference, is stupid. And certainly an offense worthy of a suspension.

Go tell your boss you hate him. See how that works out.
