Leave it to booze and coffee to bring this Kumbaya moment to SJ.com

I'm sure I've said this before, but Coffee Industry Spokesman YF hits my funnybone in a way I don't understand. Those posts never fail to make me laugh.

Noticed the article doesn't mention what the original level of risk is without drinking "extra" cups of coffee.

    Why chance it?

Just drink the extra coffee! It's delicious and it's good for you.

I've lost weight, made some changes in my diet (more coming) and I've walked more than 100 miles 19 months in a row. I'm trying to make it past 60.
But if the doc ever says give up coffee? Fuck it, I'm out.

    Good for you Moddy.

    Life is precious. Stay healthy.

But don't ever give up the coffee!

I gave up coffee for about 20 years, although I'd have a cup of decaf maybe once a month. About 3 years ago, the coffee drinkers at work brought in a Mr. Coffee and started a coffee club. Every evening somebody brewed up a pot and it smelled SOOOO good, I couldn't resist. I eventually joined the coffee club. Now that I'm retired, each day starts with a bucket (at least 3 cups in a thermal tankard). I am addicted again. Glad to know it's complementing the booze.

I get free Keurig at work. And it's usually Starbucks. That coincided with me also going back on coffee after 20 years, and now I do 20 ounces twice a day. Loving it.
