Here's one I actually didn't suck terribly on. Suuuuuuuure I was 454 miles off on my placement of Iowa. But aside from that, I did OK.

It's like a jigsaw puzzle. Do the border states first and the rest fall into place.

    If you have that choice.

But when you lead off with Kansas.....

Yeah, I had to place WVa inside a vast wasteland. Was only off by 450 miles...

Bat makes it sound like you can skip states...can you? I didn't, but it wouldn't have helped. Even border states aren't givens for me.

90%, 15 miles avg error. 295 seconds. Not too bad.
Depends on which ones you get first in the random order, I guess. Had trouble with Iowa and I never remember how far up the coast Maryland is.

  8. Finally, a game I can handle.

I was 98 percent - 49 out of the 50 states without an error, 1 mile avg. error. The only one I missed one was I had Colorado a little too far west.

Like others said, a lot depends on what you start with — I had four or five coastal/border states to start (New York, Georgia, Oregon, Virginia, Texas).

  9. Tried again and actually started with Colorado, and got it right.

98 percent - 49 out of 50 without an error, 2 mile avg. error. I had Iowa too far south.

84%..l.Unforruately I clicked Massachussets into California by mistake and it screwed up my average mile error.
