Any word on where the LADN will end up since it's selling its building in Woodland Hills? San Gabriel? The same place as the Herald Ex?

    And just to keep track:
22 out at the L.A. Daily News (buyouts and layoffs)
Nine at the Daily Breeze (layoffs)
    8-9 at Long Beach (layoffs/attrition/consolidation/bullshit)

And this is just LANG. Not counting Lean's Black Friday II next week in San Jose.

May my last breath by a cry against injustice than a whisper in the ear of uncertainty.

The P-T also lost its managing editor and its publisher.

Who's taking that over, the ME and publisher at the Breeze?

This hyper-local mentality has got to stop, and the Register experience might explain why. It's a pretty local paper anyway. But when the Register recently zoned its local section, the readers' reaction forced the Register to all but return to the old ways. People want to read interesting and relevant stories, and someone losing a dog one block from your home does not make that news interesting or relevant to you.

Any names from any of these places? I'm not in Cali anymore, and I can't get a hold of any friends right now.

    This is just sad.

    No, not that many.

2 F/T and 4 P/T from sports is what I'm hearing, but the dust hasn't settled yet.
