More evidence that the NBA playoffs are more exciting than March Madness

I know college basketball junkies always claim that game is more exciting and/or better than the NBA but the Dallas-Golden State series is yet another of why the NBA is far better than college basketball.

In the NBA you have stars making big plays and because every playoff round is a series, you see coaches having to make adjustments.

College hoops are fun, but the level of play doesn't even come close to comparing to the NBA playoffs. Just my two cents.

    Couldn't agree more.

Plus, Avery Johnson pressers. NOTHING tops that! :)

More exciting? No. Better basketball? You bet.

Nothing can compare in excitement to March Madness; single-elimination, spirit-filled fans, etc.

But when it comes to basketball strategy, two solid NBA teams and their coaches going at it for seven games -- nothing better.

There's no way that the NBA playoffs are more exciting than the NCAA tournament.

Did you watch any of that Golden State-Dallas game? That was exciting -- and a game 7 is always exciting as is any elimination game.

And unlike the NCAA Tournament there are no George Mason's in the Final Four -- all of these teams can play and all of these players are among the best in the world.

I've always been a pro over college guy, because it's the top level

The NBA's wannabe George Mason=Any playoff team from the Southleast Division. How many playoff games did that division win this season? Zero.

    0-12. That is ridiculous

One series doesn't make a postseason. If every series was like that year after year, yuou might have something. But Central's right. It lacks the urgency; every game is game seven. Don't sell me that in game two.

Exactly. The Mavs-Warriors series is giving us some good TV. And then there was the Bulls-Heat (sweep), Cavs-Wizards (sweep) and Pistons-Magic (sweep).

The Knicks-Heat days are a big reason the NBA IS so much better now. The league has been cleaned up and teams can't play like that any more and win because ref's call fouls.
