More cuts

    I know this is small potatoes, but it's my new shop since I was laid off last year. The Signal, a small paper in Southern California, had layoffs on Friday. One reporter, one copy editor and one editorial clerk. This is for a paper with 80 people in the whole building, advertising, press crew and editorial included. Keep em in your thoughts and prayers, if you do that sort of thing.

    And that paper has advertised for a couple of openings in the past year as well.
