More cuts coming this week at LAT?

There's some murmuring about it, apparently.

There was a buzz at the end of last year the all Tribune papers were going to take another round of cuts. To this point, I think there have only been additional layoffs in Chicago.

 

Reading the L.A. Observed story, it sounds more like they might collapse the local (california) section or the biz section into the main section. That would save money by saving newsprint.

 

Someone who knows someone on the inside there said what's coming this week will either be really bad -- or flat-out horrible.

 

Let's just go all online ... please put everybody out of their misery and do what you publishers are ultimately going to do anyway.
