Politics are ruining sports. Sports used to be an escape from politics and nonsense. We are in a cultural war. It's the Trump conservative right vs liberal left. One side is trying to save the nation, the other seems to be trying to wreck the nation.

Translation: Disney's A-OK with Skipper's many missteps because his vision reflects that of Disney. Further, who'd take Skipper's job knowing they're not the guy who stuffed ESPN's current roster full of mediocre-yet-arrogant on-air talent.

It is hard to disagree with that assessment, Alma, although I will note that big companies with a division in trouble often keep the status quo because of the horrendous arguments about what change if any to make. Also, the disaster in the movie division may be monopolizing management's attention.

Clay Travis will not be pleased. Or maybe he will be. This does give him another chance to rant.

What's the current odds on global thermonuclear war?

    Just curious.

It's kind of funny. Travis and others "embrace debate" and they are lauded and paid well. ESPN's actions prompt debate and they should be shunned.
