Of the current Yankees, who will have their number retired, receive a plaque or possibly receive a monument?

My guess is retired numbers will be Jeter, Rivera and Posada. Possibly Pettitte.

    Rivera gets a plaque.

    Jeter will have a monument.

    Thoughts?

    Posada maybe, Pettite no.

ARod gets up there if he stays 4-5 more years and reaches a couple big career milestones in a NY uniform. It would help a lot if he had a real dynamite postseason, too.

ARod will be a tough, tough call.

Especially if he receives anything more than his number going on the wall.

Jeter a monument for sure. Rivera maybe a plaque

  7. Rivera will get a monument, as well. He is alternately described as "The Great Mariano" or "The Great Rivera." He will be a First Ballot Hall of Famer who spent his entire career as a Yankee--and he'll live his post-baseball career in Westchester so he'll always be available for team functions.

I say Jeter and Rivera will get monuments.
    George Steinbrenner gets a plaque.
Posada and Pettitte will simply have their numbers retired.

    I forgot about Steinbrenner.

Torre probably gets a plaque as well, and Bernie Williams possibly a number retired.

This thread not having a juice I thought it would. I guess people don't give a shit about the Yahkee HOF.

    Mariano and Jeter get monuments.

Williams won't have his number retired.

Only a plaque for Big Stein?

    I think not.

What are the choices in order of importance ?

    1 Monument
    2 Retired Number
    3 Plaque
    4 Engraved 2 x 1 brase plate
    5 Name scratched into seat.

I like Posada but he is not a Monument Park player. I would put Paul O'Neal and Bernie there before Jorge.

As far a Rivera his monument should be the bullpen which they should name after him before Sterling sells it to a sponsor.
