Not Peter King but one of his underlings -- Greg Beddard.

Perhaps an indirect way of King trying to say that he's not an
    NFL stooge.

Bedard is quickly becoming one of the best NFL writers out there.

Tony Dungy as commissioner? No gays allowed.

Can someone quantify the "massive hit" the NFL has taken because of Goodell and his crappy leadership? Are ratings down? People avoiding the league? Sponsors pulling out?

I agree that Goodell is horrible and needs to be fired but the massive hit isn't financial.

It's funny - maybe this cover was a bit too spot-on, given the nature of Game of Thrones.

Nuanced case by Bedard that point out many other problems Goodell's had that go beyond the Rice issue. The way he handled Bountygate was awful. Good read.

True, but there's a massive hit to his reputation, where the initial impression after his suspensions of Pacman Jones and Chris Henry was that he was going to be a no-nonsense type of guy, and now people view him as anything but that.
