Greinke has a lower ERA and fewer walks than Lincecum in a league with DHs, not pitchers?

    Freddy Sanchez maybe.

If you look at what Greinke did during the second half last season, you would know it's more than four months.

All I'm saying is Greinke, a below .500 pitcher for his career, is not No. 4 and is in no way ahead of Halladay, Lincecum and Santana.
OK, so maybe he's No. 4 among pitchers. But I'm not even sure of that.

The AL lovers will say, "But the AL has the extra hitter ... . " I say, so what.

Lincecum should be the No. 1 pitcher.

Since the start of the 2008 season:

    Lincecum: 28-7, 2.44 ERA, 5 CG, 3 SO, 424 K's, 1.10 WHIP ... Cy Young.
    Greinke: 23-15, 2.77 ERA, 6 CG, 2 SO, 319 K's, 1.18 WHIP.

Edit: Then again, Joe Posnanski works in K.C.

Like someone else said, even worse than Greinke is the overrating of Ibanez based on the first half of this season.

To be fair, you have to throw in Halladay and Santana.

    Since start of 2008 season:

Santana: 27-14 (would have a few more wins if the Mets weren't inept this season), 2.73 ERA, 3 CG, 1.17 WHIP, 323 K's.
    Halladay: 31-14, 3.19 ERA, 13 CG (most impressive stat), 3 SO, 319 K's.

    Santana from 2003-06 was 67-22.
