With Tabata now out of the system, Jackson's untouchable.

I think the Yanks are happy with the D and the handling of the staff Molina XVII is giving them.

So, basically, he fits right in with the Twins. :D

Man, I love gyros. I haven't been able to find a place in Texas where they are made, though.

If the Rangers can get that, Jon Daniels should get a lifetime contract.

The Yankees shouldn't overpay for a Laird type, since they have to hope Posada can recover and spend another year or two as the starting catcher. And as noted earlier, Molina is murder on opposing baserunners, even if he can't hit a lick. He should get the majority of the playing time, especially since the Yankees aren't going to find a catcher who can replace Posada's offensive output last year.

Now that is funny. Didn't the Yankees already cut Hawkins loose?

    No chance this one happens.

I just knew you were a fan of his, buckdub.

Do you think Tracy and Owings is a decent return for Teixeira?

I know you didn't ask me, but I think that's a horrible return for Teixeira.

The only question to evaluate a trade for Teixeira: Is it a better return than two draft picks ... because he isn't going to sign with Atlanta and he isn't going to sign with the team that trades for him.

Hey, that was for buckdub only!

Kidding. I agree with you. I only specifically asked him because he is a Braves fan and also pays close attention to Owings.

Agreed, Cran. I just don't think much of Tracy...oft-injured.

Now, Jackson and a prospect would be a better deal for Atlanta. I also have a hard time not remembering what Atlanta gave up to get him...that might be why I dont like the Tracy-Owings deal.
