Like a good reach-around, the Tigers are trying to come from behind.

Why is it only 7-4 if the Tigers aren't so tough? I thought the Yankees be up 15-0 by now after they won the "mighty" AL East.

Great, now we have to bring "God" into blessing America.

Stand beside her? And guide her? With a what from above?

Whoa, Bob Sheppard sounds ... terrible. Damn, that sucks.

And FUCK -- I hate the stopping of games to sing God Bless America, and all this faux-patriotic TV bullshit. It was just fine for the 2001 postseason. Not now.

Sing Take Me Out to the Fucking Ballgame, and get on with the game.

It can be our war song when we're causing havoc:

    "Stand behind her
    and guide her
    like a missile
    that screams from above."

I think I agree with you. In 2001 it was fine, and every Sept. 11 is fine. Other than that, move along with the game.

Please tell me King at what point thus far have the Tigers given any hint of being able to win this game (or either of the next two)?

At my previous stop, we had a guy who referred to the guy who sings it "The Fat Irish Tenor." And it drove him absolutely nuts every time this guy sang, which reminds me ... why that guy every time?

I never said the Tigers were going to win. But why aren't the Yankees dominating? I mean, Ordonez came up as the tying run an inning or two ago. Probably made a few people sweat. Shouldn't the Yankees expect more than ekeing by a worthless team like the Tigers?

The crowd shots of Yankee Stadium looks like a gathering of extras to film a scene at Da Bing

Of course, with calls like that 3rd strike to Craig Monroe, might as well pack it in now...
