Shit, now we have successfully pointed out that I am drunk. You are right Peavy is the No. 1 and if he can pitch like he has in past years, that could conceivably be a very formidable playoff rotation:
    Game 1: Peavy
    Game 2: Wells
    Game 3: Young

    It's good.

And, if the Phils make the playoffs and the Dodgers don't then we'll see.

In that improbable circumstance, I stick with a Yankees-Phils prediction.

Myers and Hamels have the potential to be the best 1-2. They're power pitchers with good K rates. Myers is also inconsistent and Hamels is at his career high for innings pitched in a season, by a mile. I'd be concerned about that.

I'll wait for the matchups to be set before I chime in with any predictions.

First round should be a mix of ESPN and FOX. My guess is ESPN2 will show any Monday playoff games, including any end-of-season tiebreakers.

Rest of the playoffs is exclusively FOX.

Yankees over (Paper) Tigers in 3
Twins over Choke-land in 5 (for added heartbreak effect)
Yankees over Twins in 5 (Minny may have pitching, but they always cower at the sight of the Yankees)

    Mets over Padres in 4
    Cardinals over Phillies in 5
    Mets over Cardinals in 5

Yankees over Mets in 7, with Billy Wagner blowing the final game in the bottom of the 9th.

Phiily vs. Yankees would be incredible... and way more possible than the Muts making it.
