The Ducks get more attention than Mike Trout in the thread about Mike Trout not getting enough attention.

I agree. Some blame lies with slashed budgets and earlier, tight deadlines.

Plus, New York is gonna cover New York. Trout needs more games against the Yankees.

No kidding. What's going on here?

Meanwhile ... a predictable, easy, lazy piece from Verducci.

Well, since we have a Trout thread going strong, I found this late-breaking news on my Twitter feed:

Angels' Mike Trout uninjured after car crash on 55 freeway in Santa Ana

I saw that and my heart skipped a few beats. Memories came flooding back of Nick Adenhart (and years before that, Lyman Bostock) before I saw the quote from Eppler that Trout was OK.

This would have been a bigger story if he crashed on the East Coast.

    (kidding, and glad he's OK)

TMZ didn't even dispatch a coverage team, thus proving Verducci's point.

Trout about to get lots of attention:

Woman suffers 'major injuries' after accident involving Mike Trout

Trout was traveling southbound on the 55 when traffic ahead of him came to a stop due to an unrelated accident, according to the CHP. Trout's car swerved and the right-front of his his car collided with the rear bumper of the Sonic. The impact sent the compact car careening into a truck stopped ahead of it, before the Sonic came to a rest alongside a fence on the shoulder of the roadway.

    Was he texting while driving?
