    Who is the NL DH?

  2. Re: MLB All-Star teams (prediction)

Tejada and Guzman over Jose Reyes?
    Aramis Ramirz over David Wright?
    Nate McClouth over Xavier Nady?
No Ryan Howard and his N.L.-leading 76 RBIs?

    Terrible, terrible job.

God awful reserves for the NL. Where's Texeria?

  4. Re: MLB All-Star teams (prediction)

    Jason Varitek?????????

  5. Re: MLB All-Star teams (prediction)

BTW, if the Yankees or Red Sox were leading MLB in ERA, and didn't have an All-Star from the pitching staff, TBS would have already called for an investigation.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to congratulate the .219-hitting Jason Varitek on his All-Star berth.

Did he get voted on or is he a reserve? Because if he is a reserve that might be the worst All-Star pick in the history of the game.

Consiering he's in with a .285 BA and a whopping 7 homers, should we just assume that Fukudome will be voted in every year?

Mauer's the starter. Even the Red Sox fans aren't that ridiculous.

Varitek doesn't belong at all in the All-Star game. I have no idea what Francona is thinking.

Varitek, whom I admire, hasn't had a hit since Memorial Day or thereabouts. Fans are screaming for him to be pinch-hit for and to drop batting lefty. And he's an ALL-STAR? Terry, that's patronage, not managing.
Can't complain about the fan voting this year. They did a horseshit job, but so did the players and managers.
