Adrian Gonzalez of the Padres should be the NL's starting first baseman.

David Wright shouldn't start over Chipper Jones. Not this season.

Fielder doesn't deserve to go. He's doing pretty well now, but he was horrendous for the first two months. Braun should go and Sheets will get in too.

Fukudome in the game is a joke. Corey Hart is better. Then again, this is the same system that has Rickie Weeks and Bill Hall in the top 5 at their position.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying Corey Hart should be starting, but I don't even think he's in the top 15 in the NL. He's got to be the most underrated player in baseball. His SLG is higher than Fukudome's, their OPS is the same (Hart's is better by .001), and he's got more speed and power.

Compare Corey Hart's numbers last year to Soriano's. And no one knows who he is.

No way Zimmerman makes the team. He's missed too much time.

    Jon Rauch is my guess.

    My NL Picks:

    1B: Lance Berkman
    2B: Chase Utley
    3B: Chipper Jones
    SS: Hanley Ramirez
    C: Brian McCann
    OF: Kosuke Fukudome
    OF: Carlos Beltran
    OF: Alfonso Soriano
    DH: Dan Uggla

    My AL Picks:

    1B: Kevin Youkilis
    2B: Ian Kinsler
    3B: Alex Rodriguez
    SS: Michael Young
    C: Jason Varitek
    OF: Manny Ramirez
    OF: Josh Hamilton
    OF: Milton Bradley
    DH: David Ortiz

I'm really torn between the Bradley/Ortiz picks cause Vlad and Suzuki both deserve a bid.

anyone who says webb should start for the nl hasn't really paid much attention to baseball this year and perhaps should just not say any more

That or they stopped paying attention about a month ago. At that point, you could have made the argument for him over Volquez. But now I think it has to be Volquez.

Webb should and deserves to make an appearance in the All-Star game, but definitely doesn't deserve to start. Volquez has been consistent all season and MLB's best pitcher this season.

Along with Volquez, I'd start Dempster and Sheets before Webb.
