While Big Bad Bartolo aims for a milestone win, the Mariners — fresh off a bullpen-burning, 12-inning game on Monday night — leave Felix Hernandez in the game for six brutal innings.

    The King's night (so far!): 6.0 IP, 8 H, 11 R, 7 ER, 4 BB, 2K. He also gave up three HRs.

King Felix is not bolstering his case for the HOF. Wanted to post in the "Felix Hernandez" Hall of Famer?" thread, but it's locked.

It's sad to watch but it looks like the workload has caught up with him. He's gonna need to pull a Sabathia like re-invention. The good thing is he will have time to do so since he's only 32. That runner-up finish to Kluber might be the difference when it's all said and done.

The Indianapolis Indians (Pirates AAA) had TWO hitters hit for cycle last night. Kevin Newman and Jacob Stallings both hit for cycle in a 12-5 win over Lehigh Valley.

Makes sense with 24 of his HRs coming from the leadoff spot.

When I was a kid, went to a Cardinals-Rockies game in their last season at old Mile High.
Announced attendance was around 72-73000.....and the joint wasn't even close to being full.
