    Price told TV yesterday he's staying in Boston. Besides the tens of millions of dollars that's worth to him, there's the added benefit of sticking around to dunk at will on everyone in town for as long as he wants.

    Rangers hire Dodgers third-base coach Chris Woodward as manager. I thought they pulled the trigger on Banister way too soon. Their farm system is depleted now because Jon Daniels went for it in the early part of the decade to make disastrous trades for pennant pushes (Matt Garza, Ryan Dempster) and they got pennies on the dollar for the Cole Hamels trade this year.

    How is Martinez the Aaron award winner, but not top 3 for mvp? That’s a lot of weight to defense.
