Editorial intern positions available for established Mixed Martial Arts website that specializes in UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator news. We’re looking for sports fans who want to gain valuable experience working in the crazy world of sports journalism. Candidate must have basic knowledge of MMA as well as being able to recognize the major stars of the sport. Writing and grammar skills a must. Social media proficiency (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc) a must. Photoshop skills a plus, but not a necessity. New York based preferred, but working remote a possibility for the right candidate.

Our company has substantial experience working with all of the major MMA organizations, as well as partnerships with other major media companies covering mixed martial arts.

Interns enrolled in school are preferred and will be asked to work roughly 2-3 days per week. This is an unpaid internship but a travel stipend is provided. Email us at: careers@heavy.com with the subject line "MMA Editorial Internship." Please submit your resume and a brief note explaining your interest in the position. If you have any published sports writings you’d like to submit for review, please include a link to where it can be found.
