We had a 3-4 year run of graduation weekends around my son's own graduation and those of all his buddies, etc. The one the year after his was epic. I hung with all the kiddies on the Irish Car Bombs. Great stuff. Put a couple of the youngsters to bed for the night.

I don't drink all that often. Never really did and the recovery these days takes forever. When I do indulge, I do it right.

I like a good screwdriver if it is early.
I like a Black Russian or a White Russian later in the day.

    I also love my Goldschlagger.

Both kids will be home all weekend and we've had quite an interesting year. I think a serious drunk may be in the offing.

I've never been a fan of straight vodka, but I'd give it a shot with Goose.

I hear ya. I've been saying the same thing for a good week now. It's about that time.

If I didn't have to go to work in a couple of hours, I would lift a holiday toast to you and Boom.

You can add Scotch to that list. If it's a blended, ice with a splash of water if fine. I

If it's a single malt, NEAT. No ice. No water.

One of my kids drinks Crown Royal & Coke. I told him I was going to disown him.

As I noted earlier, I am strictly a beer drinker but I don't mind the odd rye and ginger ale. Yes, JR, I know that makes me a philistine. :)

When I was growing up, all my parents, aunts, uncles etc. drank nothing but rye and ginger whenever there was a fammily gathering. The smell alone was so repulsive that my sisters and I swore we'd never drink.

That, of course, was before we discovered vodka.

    Straight-up?

    Just gimme the whole bottle.

Bend over and I'll shove it straight up yo ass.

    On the rocks is fine.

    Yeah, that's what I thought you'd say.

Three parts Plymouth gin, one part vermouth, two olives. Repeat as needed.
